You can type in your search query on the Home page and specify what type of file you are looking for, without going to the Search page.

If typing a keyword and selecting a file type is not enough, you can access the Search section and apply various filters. You can search by different criteria, depending on the selected file type. For example, if you are looking for audio files, you can set the program to search for a specific artist, albums, genre and so on. Using keywords to filter the results is another possibility. It takes a single click to start downloading the selected files or to connect to other users in order to browse through their shared files.

The software allows you to connect to different servers, like Gnutella, eDonkey or DC++. It is also possible to download files from the web, by providing a URL or a URI. Furthermore, Morpheus Music allows you to BitTorrent files as well. All you have to do is select a torrent file or provide the appropriate link. The inbound and outbound transfer speeds may vary, depending on the distance between users. This is why the software allows you to bring up a list of neighbours and view a series of details regarding incoming and outgoing connections. If you need to manage your bandwidth according to a certain timetable, you can schedule various tasks, like increasing or decreasing the transfer speed, closing the program, shutting down the computer and more.
